As you walk into the woods below the dam and you pass by all the debris that was cleaned out this SUNDAY give a salute and a thanks to the volunteer crew that made it happen. First off I want to thank Duane Lippincott for the advanced aerial bombardment and dealing a major blow to the weeds on the dam. On Sunday the ground forces moved in, Scott Dana was leading the charge single handedly clearing out and re-enforcing the spillway near the bottom path. The second wave rode in with myself and Steve Foit bringing in the mechanized division to haul out the freedom hating debris, even our commander in chief Frank Sheridan took charge lending his leadership skills and more importantly his trailer. Also our trusted military advisor Richard O’Donnell dropped in providing muscle and guidance. Later the Calvary rode in with Dete Waehner riding his noble snapper to mow down the enemy weeds on top of the dam and along the entrance way. These enlistees herd the May-Day call, volunteered, and served their neighborhood bravely.
On a side note no beavers were spotted during the dam clean up, it was just us guys down there.
