Fourth Of July Happenings

Lakemont's Annual 4th of July parade and picnic!

It's that time again, Lakemont, so get out your red, white and blue and get ready for some patriotic fun!

The Roswell Fire Department will be joining us again this year, they always generously donate their time and energy to our celebration.  Because they are volunteering their time, it would be great if we could collect a donation for our fire department!  If you would like to contribute, please contact Kathleen Foit, or just bring your donation to the picnic and we will collect all of the contributions!

11:00 Parade starts

(It will begin in the Lakemont Dr. cul-de-sac) Come on over and decorate anything you have with wheels! Or watch us wheel on by and support the kids!

The Roswell Fire Fighters will be joining us with their fire truck fun to cool all the kids off and we will have activities for the kids and a picnic.

Last names beginning with letters A-I: please bring a main dish (fried chicken, hot dogs, grilled meat, etc)

Last names beginning with letters J-Z: please bring a side dish (mac and cheese, salad, beans, etc)

Lemonade, water and dessert provided by the Lakemont Homeowners Association.  And the ever popular ice cream truck will be making another appearance - so you won't want to miss that!

Don't forget your chairs, optional beverages and sunscreen. Swimsuits may be a consideration as there will be water!

We hope to see you all there!

Be on the lookout

You may have already heard, but we just wanted to let everyone know about an incident that occurred the other night in Aspens, the neighborhood across the street.  A man came to their door asking to use the phone. The woman slammed the door in his face and called the police.  The police informed her that it was a group of people, and they received 9 calls from Shallowford Park that same night. Most of them were caught, but we just wanted everyone to be aware.  So please be careful, and do not open your door to anyone you don't know.

REMINDER: Lakemont Luminaries tonight!

Just wanted to send a quick reminder, we will be displaying our luminaries tonight!  If you haven't had a chance to get yours, stop by the end of the Foit’s driveway (560 Lakemont Ct). $10 per bag includes candles, bags and sand for 10 luminaries. Most houses only need one bag of supplies.

All profits will be donated to the Roswell Fire Department.

As you walk through the neighborhood enjoying the lights, plan to stop by the Longo's driveway (530 Lakemont Ct.), for hot drinks and goodies around the fire pit. Drop by anytime between 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

See you all tonight!
