CANCELLED - 4th of July

Good Morning Lakemont,

We were hoping that the rain would have gone away and there would be clear skies this morning, unfortunately this did not happen and the weather is still very questionable for today.

So I am sad to say we have decided to cancel the 4th of July celebration, sorry for the inconvenience.

Update - 4th of July!

Rain, rain, go away!!  It is not looking good for our annual 4th of July celebration unfortunately.  However, the weather has been known to change very quickly, so you never know!  If it is still raining in the morning, we will have to cancel our festivities.  We will send out another email in the morning to confirm.  Hopefully it will pass and be a beautiful day!

It's that time again, Lakemont, so get out your red, white and blue and get ready for some patriotic fun!

The Roswell Fire Department will be joining us again this year, they always generously donate their time and energy to our celebration.  Because they are volunteering their time, it would be great if we could collect a donation for our fire department!  If you would like to contribute, please contact Kathleen Foit, or just bring your donation to the picnic and we will collect all of the contributions!

Now get ready for some fun!!
Here is the line up:

10-10:30 Parade! (it will begin in the Lakemont Dr. cul-de-sac) Come on over and decorate anything you have with wheels!

Ladies' Night!!

It's a party and it's just for the ladies!  Carrie Flamer has graciously invited the ladies of Lakemont to a Cinco de Mayo shindig at her place! The only catch is the party is actually on the lesser known holiday, Quatro de Mayo. That's the 4th of May for those that are not bilingual.

So this is what you need to know:

When: Saturday, May 4th at 6pm
Where: Carrie Flamer's house, 570 Lakemont Court
What to Bring: Your favorite appetizer and your beverage of choice. Cerveza will be provided (that's beer)

See you then!

Pennies for Patients

Hello all -

Please see the note below from Christina Archer -

Hello!

This is Christina Archer. Roswell's National Honor Society is
raising money for Pennies for Patients this year, and our deadline is
getting really close (through friday!).

Our school is excited to be participating in our annual fundraiser,
Pennies for Patients, that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's
School & Youth Programs. Last year, students in the Georgia Chapter
area raised $663,000 to fight blood cancers like leukemia and provide
services for patients and their families. We at Roswell High School
exceeded our goal of $10,000, and raised over $15,000! This year, our
school is committed to help raise even more, so we ask you to please
assist our cause by making an online donation to help reach our
school’s fundraising goal of $20,000!!! It’s easy!

For more information on The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the School
& Youth Programs, please visit www.lls.org and
www.schoolandyouth.org/ga.

If you would like to help us towards our goal, would you please
consider donating online?

To donate, click the red "Donate Now" button. You can indicate the
student, teacher or classroom to credit for your donation. When you
donate, you will automatically receive a tax deductible receipt to
submit to your company's matching gifts program.

If everyone gives a little, we can accomplish a lot! We can beat
cancer together!

Thank you so much for your help! Your donations are funding
revolutionary discoveries in cancer research and treatment.

Also, if you know any others who would be willing to help, please feel
free to forward my email!

Thank you for helping in the fight against cancer!

Sincerely,

Christina Archer
