Friday Night Fun!

Come join us to celebrate the last day of school and to kick off the summer, Friday May 18th!

We have something fun for everyone.  Join the dad's and kids for their annual camp out on the dam.  Dad's and kids of all ages are welcome!  Everyone is heading over to the dam late afternoon to set up their tents and get ready.  There is going to be fishing, food and fun camp side ghost stories.

And for the ladies of Lakemont - we are having a girl's night out at Kathleen Foit's house (560 Lakemont Ct.) at 7:00 pm.  There will be light snacks provided, all you have to do is bring your favorite beverage and come join the fun!  We thought it would also be a great opportunity for you to clean out your cupboards and have a canned food drive.  We will bring all of our donations to the North Fulton Charities.

Hope to see you all there!

If you have any questions, please contact the social committee.

Let's give a shout out!

Let's all say a special thanks to Susan Gomez, Carey Grucza, and Theresa Schulte for making our front entrance look beautiful!  We all know what a big job that is and what an important job it is!  We truly appreciate your hard work and putting in your time and effort.  It looks fantastic!  Keep up the good work girls!

Also, be on the lookout for some fun neighborhood events coming up!

Girl Scout Cookies!!!

I know everyone probably started their New Year's diet this week, but who can resist girl scout cookies?!  We have three girls scouts in the neighborhood this year - Kelly Foit, Sarah Schulte and Julia Daniels.  So be on the look out for our favorite girl scouts selling those yummy cookies (at least they won't be here for a couple of months right?)!  They will be knocking on your door starting tomorrow!  And I know they would appreciate it if, instead of buying all of our cookies from one girl scout, we shared the wealth a little!

Thanks and good luck to the girl scouts!

Lakemont Luminaries

imgres.jpg

The holidays are here!  Be a part of the annual Lakemont

Luminary Display, Sunday December 18.

Bags of luminary supplies will be sold on the honor system Dec .

16-Dec 18 at the end of the Foit’s driveway (560 Lakemont Ct).

$10 per bag includes candles, bags and sand for 10 luminaries.

Most houses are good with one bag of supplies.

All profits will be donated to the Roswell Fire Department.

As you walk through the neighborhood enjoying the lights, plan

to stop by the Foit's driveway (please note, there was a typo on the flyer that went out - their address is 560 Lakemont Ct.) for hot

drinks and goodies around the fire pit. They will be open from

6:30 to 8:00pm.

If you will be away consider enlisting a neighbor to set up your

bags.  It is a great night for the whole neighborhood to be out!

Questions?  Need your supplies delivered?  Call Kathleen Foit at

770-518-2659 or Maura Roberts at 770-587-4343.

It's the kind of party Clark would support.....

Tis the season for the 22nd Annual Toys Party at  555 Lakemont Court, Friday, Dec. 2. 7 pm 'til whenever.  As always, it's a great time for a great cause.

What we do is so very appreciated by Roswell's Child Development Association (and is now actually in their budget).  It should be illegal how much fun we have doing it.  Feel free to register that complaint with the Mayor.  He will be politicking near the back porch keg.

The rules are the same.  Bring a some-assembly-required toy (like a bike, trike, wagon, razor, hoops goal) and the tools you will need for assembly.  You will have until the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" is over to complete your toy before the hazing (and help from others) starts.  [If you choose to to bring your toy already assembled, it will be accepted on behalf of the kids, but plan to accept grief from the boys.]

In addition to microbrew kegs, expect quality finger food, like Greenwood's chicken, Nine's quesadillas, Alessio's pizza, Montana's wings, and our official vegetable -- Outback's Bloomin' Onion.  No desserts served at this all-guy function.

Past firework displays by good samaritan neighbors have been heroic.  There are rumors that this year will feature a Viking funeral of three of last year's especially combustible X-mas trees.  [Garden hoses will be at the ready for the duration of this party.]

Feel free to bring as many of your buddies as you like.  Spread the good cheer.

Hang In There!

You don't have to wait much longer for the next holiday, Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away!

We just wanted to say a big "Thanks" to the Archer's for hosting a great party on Halloween! What a fun night!

I also have some great pictures from our Pumpkin Decorating Day at the Flamers' (thank you to the Flamers' as well!) and from Halloween night.  I will send them out in a bit!

Thanks,
Beth, Kathleen and Maura

Caught in the act, great kids doing good deeds!

Some of the kids in our neighborhood were involved in a reverse trick or treat while visiting the Roswell Rehabilitation Center last week.  Please view this link for pics and details!

Nice job, Mountain Park kids!
